Mary Lynne serves as the lead of Shickich Strategies, a Wyoming government affairs firm with a focus on state and federal legislative and regulatory issues. Her current clientele focus is health care.
For the past 25 years, Mary Lynne has served in numerous government and public relations leadership roles both at the state and federal levels. Prior to starting her own government and public affairs business in 2013, she served as the Vice President of External Affairs, Community Relations and the Hospital Foundation at the Wyoming Medical Center in Casper. In this capacity, she developed expertise in issues impacting large hospitals, and delivery and payment issues with Medicare and Medicaid populations.
She also has served as the Senior Vice President at the Wyoming Hospital Association and as the National Grassroots Project Director at the American Hospital Association in numerous locations around the United States, including Washington, D.C. In those areas, she lobbied and developed successful efforts mobilizing constituents to influence legislation.
As the outstanding undergraduate student in Political Science at the University of Wyoming, she was elected to Pi Sigma Alpha Political Science Honor Society. Mary Lynne received a very selective fellowship at the Eagleton Institute of Politics at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey. She received a master’s in Policy, and her master’s thesis paper was on the Older Americans Act, evaluating the successes of the congregate meals site funding for seniors.
